Experience Lake Eyre in Flood

What Is the Deal?

Record-breaking floods are currently on their way to Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, making it the perfect time to celebrate the 2026 release of Outback Spirit’s all-inclusive, small group tour to see this natural wonder!

Nestled 15 metres below sea level, Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre is the largest salt lake on the continent and has a density twice that of the Dead Sea. Visitors to South Australia’s rugged interior are eagerly awaiting the return of over six million birds, including pelicans travelling from as far away as Papua New Guinea, as this year’s inland floods promise to deliver a spectacular display of colour and wildlife.
